Lotte, Shilla competing for international terminal duty-free shop
Korea Customs Service to make selection in December

Lotte and Shilla are in the running to run the duty-free shop in the international terminal at the Jeju airport.

The Korea Airports Corporation says Hotel Lotte and Hotel Shilla passed the first round of evaluations Thursday. Shinsegae DF was eliminated.

The Korea Customs Service will make a decision around mid-December after assessing presentations by the two companies.

제주국제공항 국제선 출국장 면세점 사업에 롯데와 신라 등 2개 업체가 뛰어들었습니다.

한국공항공사에 따르면, 오늘(9일) 진행된 면세점 제안서 심사에서 입찰에 참여한 신세계디에프가 탈락하고 호텔롯데와 호텔신라가 1차 경쟁 사업자로 선정됐습니다.

관세청은 두 업체에 대한 프레젠테이션 심사를 거쳐 다음달 중순쯤 최종 사업자를 결정할 예정입니다.
