400+ tourist accommodations on island
More than 31,000 guestrooms

Jeju is now home to over 400 registered tourist accommodations.

The provincial government puts the total at 408 as of last month. That’s more than twice the 190 that were in operation in 2013.

There are now 31,000 guestrooms in Jeju - the first time that total has exceeded 30,000.

The province says the surge in Chinese arrivals that began in 2013 has led to an accompanying surge in the number of hostels and tourist hotels on the island.

관광숙박업소 4백개 넘어…객실 3만실 돌파

제주도내 관광숙박업소가 4백 군데를 넘었습니다.

제주특별자치도에 따르면 지난달 기준 등록된 관광숙박업소는 408개로 2013년 190여개에 비해 두 배 이상 급증했습니다.

객실수도 3만 1천여실로 집계되면서 사상 처음으로 3만실을 돌파했습니다.

제주도는 중국인 관광객이 본격적으로 늘어났던 2013년 이후 호스텔과 관광호텔 위주의 관광숙박업소가 빠르게 증가했다고 밝혔습니다.
