Textbooks to include info on Jeju Intl. Wind Ensemble Festival

The Jeju International Wind Ensemble Festival will be introduced in elementary, middle, and high school textbooks.

The provincial government says seven authorized textbooks will next year include information about the festival, which was first held more than two decades ago.

The books will treat the event as a prominent example of cultural events in Korea and describe it in relation to other music festivals across the globe.

About 36-hundred musicians from 20 countries participated in this year’s 22nd edition of the festival.

제주국제관악제, 초중고 교과서에 소개

20여년 역사를 이어온 제주국제관악제가 초중고등학교 교과서에 수록됩니다.

제주특별자치도는 내년부터 제주국제관악제가 초등학교와 중학교, 고등학교
검인정교과서 일곱 종에 소개된다고 밝혔습니다.

해당 교과서에는 전세계 음악 축제와 함께 제주국제관악제가 우리나라 대표 문화축제로 소개됩니다.

올해 22회째 열린 제주국제관악제는 전세계 20여국에서 3천 6백여명이 참가해 성황을 이뤘습니다.
