Transport ministry officially asked to redo airport site study
Province sends request including demands of opposition group

The provincial government has sent an official request to the transport ministry to redo its site feasibility study for the island’s second airport.

The official request includes the demands agreed to by the province and the group in Seongsan-eup that opposes the construction of the facility there. It was sent to the ministry Monday evening.

The province attached another document containing other opinions from the opposition group.


국토부에 '공항 입지타당성 재검증' 공문 전달

제주특별자치도가 국토교통부에 제2공항 사전 입지 타당성 재조사 요구 공문을 보냈습니다.

제주도는 입지 타당성 재조사 분리 발주 등 성산읍 반대대책위원회와 합의했던 내용들을 담은 공문을 어제(14일) 저녁 국토부에 전달했다고 밝혔습니다.

공문과 함께 제2공항 입지타당성 재조사를 건의하는 반대대책위원회의 의견서도 함께 보냈습니다.
