45% more visitors at Bulgeun Oreum Recreation Forest
Entrance fee proceeds up 54%

A record number of people this year have visited Seogwipo’s (붉은오름) Bulgeun Oreum Recreation Forest, which opened in 2012.

The city put the tally as of the end of October at roughly 71,000. That’s 45 percent more than during the first ten months of last year.

That’s boosted the entrance fee proceeds 54 percent over the last year to a running total of 21 million won. The city has also earned about 300 million won in facility usage fees, 14 percent more than last year.

Seogwipo plans to build campsites in the forest next year. It built a wood activity center this year.

붉은오름자연휴양림 입장객 45% 증가

서귀포시 표선면 붉은오름자연휴양림이 지난 2012년 개장한 이후 가장 많은 입장객수를 기록하고 있습니다.

서귀포시에 따르면 올들어 지난달까지 집계된 입장객 수는 7만1천여 명으로
지난해 같은기간보다 45% 늘었습니다.

입장객 수가 늘면서 입장료 수입은 2천 100만원으로 지난해보다 54% 늘었고
시설사용료는 14% 증가한 3억여 원으로 집계됐습니다.

서귀포시는 올해 목재문화체험장을 개장한 데 이어 내년에는 숲속 야영장을 조성할 계획입니다.
