More mandarin oranges being sold through e-auction
368 tons so far this year

Mandarin orange growers are increasingly turning to electronic auctions to sell their fruit.

The provincial government says 368 tons of citrus have already been sold through e-auctions this year. That’s already 87 percent of the annual total from last year - 424 tons.

The number of people involved has jumped from 71 last year to 132 this year, and the number of participating organizations has doubled from seven to 14.

Provincial officials say they plan to register Jeju City’s Nonghyup Joint Market with Nonghyup’s app this year. That would make it possible for anyone in the country to participate in the e-auctions through their smartphone.

제주특별자치도에 따르면 올들어 지금까지 산지전자경매방식으로 거래된 감귤은 368톤으로 2016년산 전체의 424톤에 비해 87%에 이르고 있습니다.

또 매매참가인도 지난해 71명에서 올해 132명으로 늘었고 도내 거래조직 역시 지난해 7군데에서 올해 14곳으로 두배 이상 증가했습니다.

제주도는 올해부터 매매참가인이 전국 어디서든 스마트폰을 통한 산지전자경매에 참여할 수 있도록 제주시농협공판장을 농협공판장앱에 등록할 예정입니다.
