Study of Marado and Seogwipo Provincial Maritime Parks
Researchers will examine natural resources

Authorities will perform a detailed examination of the natural resources in the Marado and Seogwipo Provincial Maritime Parks.

The province has asked the Korea National Park Service’s research center to perform the study by the end of next year. It will be divided into 19 categories, including the terrestrial environment, the marine environment, and the human environment.

Authorities will use the research findings to draw up preservation and management plans for the parks’ marine ecosystems, to guide park visitors, and to provide regional environmental education, among other things.

마라도·서귀포해양공원 자연자원 정밀조사

마라도와 서귀포해양도립공원의 자연자원에 대한 정밀조사가 이뤄집니다.

제주특별자치도는 내년까지 국립공원관리공단 국립공원연구원에 의뢰해 이들 지역의 육상환경과 해양환경, 인문환경 등 19개 분야에 대한 조사를 실시하게 됩니다.

자연자원조사결과는 공원 내 생태계 보전과 관리계획 수립, 자연공원 탐방 해설,
지역의 환경교육 등에 활용하게 됩니다.
