September was big month in fishing industry
Catch up 45% compared to year before

Jeju fishermen had a good month in September.

According to the Honam Regional Statistics Office, they hauled in over 10,900 tons of fish. That’s 45 percent more than in September 2016.

The value of the fish jumped 54 percent over the same period to 102.8 billion won.

The hairtail catch skyrocketed 95 percent and the flatfish catch ballooned 56 percent.

9월 어업생산량 증가…갈치·넙치↑

지난 9월 제주도 어업생산량이 크게 늘었습니다.

호남지방통계청에 따르면 지난 9월 제주지역 어업생산량은 1만 900여 톤으로 지난해 같은기간보다 45% 증가했습니다.

생산금액은 1천 28억여 원으로 지난해 660여 억원에 비해 54% 이상 늘었습니다.
