Rising consumer prices
Up 1.7% last month compared to November 2016

Consumer prices in Jeju continue to rise.

The Honam Regional Statistics Office pegs the consumer price index on the island last month at 103.79. That is 1.7 percent higher than in November 2016.

Prices for industrial products were up 1.9 percent, and service prices grew 2.3 percent. Notably, the index for living necessities, which researchers say reflects the overall trend in prices, was up 1.5 percent.

The upswing was not across the board, though. Prices for agricultural and marine products as well as fresh food fell 0.7 percent compared to the month before.

소비자물가 상승…공업제품·서비스 오름세

제주지역 소비자물가가 계속 상승하고 있습니다.

호남지방통계청 제주사무소에 따르면 지난달(11월) 소비자물가지수는 103.79로
지난해 같은기간에 비해 1.7% 상승했습니다.

특히 공업제품과 서비스가 각각 1.9%와 2.3% 오르며 상승세를 이끌었고
체감물가를 반영하는 생활물가지수도 1.5% 올랐습니다.

다만 농축수산물과 신선식품지수가 내려가며 지난달에 비해 0.7% 하락했습니다.
