All Jeju Nonghyup banks getting ‘electronic counters’
Customers can process banking documents on tablet PC

Nonghyup is cutting down on the paper used in its local branches.

The NH Bank sales department says it installed on Monday so-called “electronic counters” at its Jeju National University branch.

Customers can now use a tablet PC and stylus to process all their banking documents, rather than filling out paper forms.

The bank will set up the system in all Jeju branches by the end of next year.

Nonghyup has been just testing the “electronic counters” around Seoul and in a few other areas of the country.

내년까지 제주지역의 모든 농협 영업장에 전자 창구가 도입됩니다.

NH농협은행 제주영업본부는 오늘(4일) 제주대학교지점를 시작으로 내년까지 제주의 모든 영업점에 전자창구를 개설할 예정이라고 밝혔습니다.

전자창구에서는 종이신청서 대신 태블릿 PC와 전자펜을 이용해 은행업무를 처리하게 됩니다.

농협은행은 그동안 수도권 등 일부지역에서만 전자창구를 시범적으로 운영했습니다.
