Seogwipo issuing fewer construction permits
Many new homes remain unsold

More new homes are remaining unsold and officials are issuing fewer construction permits for new housing.

Seogwipo officials say they had issued permits for about 4,000 buildings this year as of the end of November. That’s 23 percent fewer than at the same point last year.

The slowdown has continued since July.

The city has issued 35 percent fewer permits for single-family
detached houses, and 26 percent fewer for multi-unit buildings.

Officials say the glut of unsold new homes has led to the scaleback in new construction.

미분양 주택 급증, 건축허가 감소

미분양 주택이 급증하면서 건축허가가 줄어들고 있습니다.

서귀포시에 따르면 지난달 기준 건축허가는 4천여 동으로 지난해 같은기간보다 23% 감소했습니다.

이같은 감소세는 지난 7월부터 이어지고 있는 것입니다.

특히 주거용 단독주택 건축허가가 35%, 공동주택은 26% 줄어들며 전반적인 감소세를 이끌었습니다.

서귀포시는 미분양 주택 급증으로 신규사업 역시 소극적인 것으로 분석하고 있습니다.
