Hundreds of JPDC and community chest volunteers make 43,000 kg

The Jeju Province Development Corporation teamed up with the Community Chest of Jeju for a kimchi charity event on Tuesday.

The wintry weather didn’t stop 200 people from the JPDC’s Samdasoo Volunteer Group, the Jeju Volunteer Council, and the community chest from preparing 43,000 kilograms of kimchi at the Jeju Community Center.

They will contribute the Korean staple to 15-hundred households in need in Jeju City and 1,000 in Seogwipo.

제주개발공사-공동모금회 '김장 나눔' 행사

제주도개발공사와 제주사회복지공동모금회의 사랑의 김장 나눔 행사가 오늘 하루 제주시 자원봉사센터 앞 마당에서 열렸습니다.

오늘 행사에 참석한 제주삼다수봉사대와 자원봉사협의회, 사회복지공동모금회 임직원 등 200여명은 추운 날씨속에서도 김장김치 4만 3천킬로그램을 담궜습니다.

담궈진 김치는 제주시 1천 500가구와 서귀포시 1천 가구 등 사회 취약계층에 전달됐습니다.
