Landing Entertainment is seeking permission to relocate its casino.

The facility is currently at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. The operator wants to move it to the Shinhwa World Resort and expand it from 800 square meters to 55-hundred square meters.

Local officials will base their decision on the matter on feedback from the provincial council and the results of a gambling industry impact evaluation.

Governor Won Hee-ryong said he would subject the proposal to a strict review because the company needs a new casino permit to relocate.
