No decision on Greenland International Hospital
Provincial officials say more discussions needed

Provincial officials on Friday reviewed the proposed establishment of the Greenland International Hospital, which would be the first for-profit hospital in Korea.

The Health and Medical Policy Review Committee discussed the hospital’s business plan.

Committee members did not make a decision on whether to issue an establishment permit. They said the issue warrants more discussion because of the controversies surrounding it.

영리병원 심의 유보…"추가 논의 필요"

국내 첫 영리병원인 녹지국제병원 개설에 대한 보건의료정책 심의가 오늘(15일) 제주도청에서 열렸습니다.

보건의료정책심의 위원회는 녹지 국제병원 사업자가 제출한 사업계획서가 허가 요건에 적합한지 심의를 진행했습니다.

위원들은 찬반 논란이 있는 만큼 추가 논의가 필요하다며 오늘 회의에서는
인허가에 대해서는 결론을 내리지 않았습니다.
