Provincial councilors ‘concerned’ about Shinhwa World casino
‘No systematic means to limit size of facility’

Shinhwa World has applied to the provincial government for permission to relocate its casino and the provincial council is concerned about a possible expansion of the facility.

As part of the relocation, the casino operator has already applied for permission to expand it from 800 square meters to 55-hundred. Members of the council’s tourism committee said during a meeting with the provincial tourism department that it may eventually seek to enlarge the facility to 10,000 square meters.

Councilors say they are concerned because there exists no systematic means of limiting its expansion.

1만 제곱미터가 넘는 카지노를 운영할 수 있다고 주장했습니다.

도의회는 사업자가 단계적으로 추가 확장 신청을 해도 이를 제도적으로 제한할 수 있는 수단이 없다고 지적했습니다.

한편 사업자인 신화월드는 카지노 영업장 면적을 8백 제곱미터에서 5천 5백여 제곱미터로 확장하는 내용의 변경허가 신청서를 최근 제주특별자치도에 제출했습니다.
