Proposed revision to Jeju April Third Incident Special Law
Jeju lawmaker’s plan specifies rights of victims and their families

One of Jeju’s representatives at the National Assembly has introduced a proposed revision to the Jeju April Third Incident Special Law that regulates compensation for victims of the incident.

(오영훈) Oh Young-hun, a member of the Democratic Party, released his proposal Tuesday.

The bill clarifies the definition of the incident and specifies the rights of victims and their families.

The proposal also includes the establishment of a healing center for victims and family members as well as the annulment of convictions by military courts at the time of the incident.

제주 4.3희생자와 유족에 대한 보상금 규정을 담은 제주4.3특별법 개정안이 발의됩니다.

국회 더불어민주당 오영훈 의원은 제주 4.3사건 진상규명과 희생자 명예회복에 관한 전부개정법률안을 내일(19일) 대표 발의한다고 밝혔습니다.

개정안에는 제주4.3사건의 정의를 명확히 규정하고 희생자와 유족의 권리를 명시했습니다.

이와함께 희생자와 유족들의 심리적 치유를 위한 제주4.3트라우마 치유센터 설립과 보상금 규정, 4.3수형인에 대한 군사재판을 무효로 하는 내용이 담겨있습니다.
