Ban lifted on poultry shipments in Gujwa
No new evidence of bird flu in last 3 weeks

Officials have lifted a poultry transport ban in Gujwa-eup, where a highly-pathogenic strain of bird flu was discovered at a migratory bird habitat.

Researchers have found no new cause of concern in three weeks since the discovery. Authorities therefore lifted the ban that had affected 27 poultry farms within ten kilometers of the bird habitat.

Even though they can move their chickens and ducks now, officials are urging the farmers not to relax other preventive measures because they say bird flu remains a threat.

제주도는 시료 채취 이후 3주가 지났지만 특별한 이상이 없어 철새도래지 10km 반경 내 27개 농가에 내렸던 이동제한 조치를 해제했습니다.

하지만 아직 전국적으로 AI가 문제가 되고 있는 만큼 각 농가에 철저한 방역을 당부했습니다.
