‘Eco Village’ to be built at Ramsar wetland
Environmentally-friendly youth hostel will cost \9.5b

An environmentally-friendly youth hostel will be built at the Ramsar wetland in Seonheul 1-ri, Jocheon-eup.

Jeju City will spend 9.5 billion won to build the so-called “Eco Village.” The development includes a building with 19 guest rooms and an outdoor pond.

The building is designed to minimize energy loss and utilize renewable sources of power. It is scheduled for completion next October, and will open in February 2019.

제주시 조천읍 선흘1리 동백동산 람사르습지에 환경친화적 유스호스텔인 '에코촌'이 조성됩니다.

제주시는 사업비 95억 원을 들여 19객실 규모 숙박시설과 생태연못 등을 갖춘
에코촌 조성사업을 추진한다고 밝혔습니다.

에코촌은 에너지 손실을 최소화하고 신재생 에너지를 활용하는 건축물로써 내년 10월 완공한 뒤 2019년 2월 개관할 계획입니다.
