Province outlines support for small investment enterprises
￦800m set aside for project next year

The provincial government beginning next year will offer a wide range of support to small investment companies that are involved in either the cultural industry or information and telecommunications.

To qualify, firms must rent their business location. The provincial government has set aside 800 million won to help them pay their rent and purchase needed equipment.

The province is also easing rules to allow more firms to benefit. The companies must have at least 10 employees. The previous standard was a workforce of 30.

This year, this aid led to six companies signing agreements with the provincial government to hire 250 people and invest 24.5 billion won.

제주도, 소규모 투자 기업 지원 확대

제주특별자치도가 내년 임대용 입지에 입주하는 소규모 문화산업 또는 정보통신업 투자 기업을 대상으로 다양한 지원사업을 추진합니다.

이를 위해 사업비 8억 원을 들여 투자기업 임차료와 시설장비 구입비 등을 지원합니다.

또 입주 기업 실정에 맞게 상시 고용인원 기준도 당초 30명에서 10명 이상으로 완화했습니다.

올해는 6개 기업이 250여 명 고용, 245억 원 투자를 내용으로 제주도와 협약을 체결했습니다.
