Province to select Jeju’s top 10 underwater sites
\150m being spent in 2018 to survey multiple locations

The provincial government will develop the island’s underwater attractions.

It is spending 150 million won in 2018 to survey underwater caves and columnar joints as well as seabed craters and colonies of soft coral.

A committee will review and select the top ten locations by next December. The government will then develop them into local tour attractions and packages.

제주도, 수중 비경 10선 선정 추진

제주특별자치도가 수중 관광상품을 개발합니다.

이를 위해 내년에 1억 5천만 원을 투입해 바다 동굴과 주상절리, 해저 분화구, 연산호 군락 등을 대상으로 해양 탐방조사를 진행합니다.

이후 위원회 심의를 거쳐 내년 12월쯤 제주 수중 비경 10선을 선정해 관광상품으로 활용할 계획입니다.
