All HS students pay nothing for school beginning this year
Provincial education office spending \20b on program

High school is free for all island students beginning this year.

The provincial office of education will pay all associated fees. That includes admission fees, tuition, and school operation fees.

All high school students, regardless of the type of high school and the year of study, qualify for the support.

The education office has earmarked 20 billion won for this initiative. 16 billion of that total is for admission fees and tuition.

올해부터 고교 무상교육 시행…방통고도 포함

올해부터 제주지역 모든 고등학교에서 무상교육이 실시됩니다.

제주도교육청은 올해 도내 공,사립고등학교와 국립 고등학교, 방송통신고등학교 모든 학생들에게 입학금과 수업료, 학교운영지원비 전액을 지원한다고 밝혔습니다.

올해 고등학교에 입학하는 신입생은 물론 재학생까지 혜택이 돌아갑니다.

무상 교육 시행에는 입학금과 수업료 160억원 등 모두 200 억원이 소요될 예정입니다.
