Jeju City handled 46 grievances daily in 2017

Since last year, drivers need to prove they have a dedicated parking space before they can register a midsize car, and that has led to an avalanche of complaints about the policy.

Jeju City officials say they handled 11,400 complaints about the policy in 2017 ? an average of 46 per day. That’s twice the 23 complaints daily the previous year, before the requirement had been expanded to include midsize vehicles.

The city says it’s working hard to train the public servants in charge of handling these complaints to deal with them in the most effective and efficient manner.

차고지증명제가 중형차까지 확대되면서 민원처리 업무량도 증가하고 있습니다.

제주시에 따르면 지난해 처리된 차고지증명 민원처리 건수는 1만1천400여 건으로
하루 평균 46건에 이르고 있습니다.

이같은 민원처리건수는 재작년 하루 23건에 비해 2배 증가한 것입니다.

제주시는 담당 공무원들을 대상으로 실무교육을 지속적으로 실시하는 등
차고지증명제가 안정적으로 정착할 수 있는 기반을 조성해 나가기로 했습니다.
