1. Islandwide safety check underway
Inspectors visiting 700+ hospitals, theaters, other facilities

The provincial government has begun safety inspections of hundreds of island facilities.

Inspectors are assessing hospitals, theaters, construction sites and other locations through February 19th. In all, they will be visiting over 700 facilities. They will be looking for fire hazards as well as ensuring that all fire, electrical, and gas safety systems and equipment are correctly installed and in proper working order.

Inspectors will also be making sure that all roof doors properly open and close and that each of the facilities have marked emergency exit routes.

제주특별자치도가 이번주 부터 다중이용시설 안전진단을 실시합니다.

제주도는 오는 5일부터 19일까지 병의원과 영화관, 대형공사장 등 7백여 곳을 대상으로 화재 위험 요인을 살펴보고 소방과 전기, 가스 안전 설비 비치와 작동 여부도 확인합니다.

특히 옥상 출입문 개폐와 비상 대피로 확보 여부도 점검합니다.
