3. Sunchang-based company to supply rice to local schools
Contract for 30% of all rice served in Jeju schools

The provincial government will purchase rice for local schools from the (태이) Taei Eco-Friendly Farming Corporation.

The (순창) Sunchang-based corporation will supply rice to 850 daycare centers and elementary, middle, and high schools. About 113,000 students will eat it every school day.

This one contract will account for 30 percent of the 12-hundred tons of rice used in local schools.

제주지역 학교급식을 위한 친환경 쌀이 순창군 '희망햇쌀'로 선정됐습니다.

제주도는 최근 도내 어린이집과 초·중·고교 등 850여군데 11만3천 여명 학생들에게 제공하는 쌀 공급업체로 순창군 태이친환경 영농조합법인이 생산하고 있는 희망햇쌀을 선정했다고 밝혔습니다.

이는 제주도 학교급식 소요 물량 천2백여톤의 30%를 차지합니다.
