Up 2% last month compared to February 2017

Consumer prices in Jeju continue to rise.

The Jeju branch of the Honam Regional Statistics Office says the consumer price index in Jeju last month was 105.41. That’s 2 percent higher than it was in February 2017. It’s also the highest growth in prices across the nation.

The index for living necessities rose 1.8 percent, and it climbed 4.3 percent for fresh food.

Prices for mandarin oranges, green chilli peppers, and other fruits and vegetables grew the most.

제주도내 소비자물가가 큰 폭으로 올랐습니다.

호남지방통계청 제주사무소에 따르면 지난달 제주지역 소비자물가지수는 105.41로 1년전보다 2% 올라 전국에서 가장 높은 상승률을 기록했습니다.

체감물가를 반영하는 생활물가지수는 1.8%, 신선식품지수는 4.3% 올랐습니다.

특히, 귤과 풋고추 등 과일과 채소 가격이 크게 오른 것으로 나타났습니다.
