3. Organizing committee for taekwondo event has first meeting
3,000 athletes to compete in Jeju Korea Open Intl. Taekwondo Championships

The organizing committee for the Jeju Korea Open International Taekwondo Championships convened Tuesday for its first general meeting.

Representatives from the Korea and Jeju Taekwondo Associations met to discuss the committee’s articles of association and the future direction of the group.

They also unanimously selected the chair of the Jeju Taekwondo Association, 문성규 Moon Seong-gyu, to lead the organizing committee.

Some 3,000 competitors from 70 countries will participate in the championships from July 18th through the 24th. Athletes can earn the points they need to enter the Olympics at the event.

6일 총회에서 조직위원장에 문성규 제주태권도협회장이 만장일치로 선출됐습니다.

올림픽 출전 포인트가 주어지는 제주코리아오픈국제태권도대회는 오는 18일부터 24일까지 세계 70개국에서 3천여명의 선수가 출전하게 됩니다.
