5. 10 recipients selected for Mecenat matching grants
Province, local businesses contributing total of \150m

The provincial government and the Jeju (메세나) Mecenat Association have selected 10 beneficiaries for matching art grants.

Local officials say they received 61 applications for the grants, which total 150 million won.

Selected individual artists will be given up to 8 million won, while artistic groups will receive up to 20 million won.

Half of these grants to support local culture and arts come from the province and the other half come from area businesses.

메세나 매칭그란트 지원대상 선정

제주도와 제주메세나협회가 실시한 매칭그란트 사업 1차 공모 결과 10개 예술단체가 선정됐습니다.

제주도는 최근 공모에 신청한 61건 가운데 전문가 심의를 거쳐 모두 10개 단체를 선정했다고 밝혔습니다.

이들 단체에는 최대 2천만원, 개인은 800만원까지 모두 1억 5천만원이 지원됩니다.

메세나 매칭그란트사업은 기업이 예술단체에 지원하는 금액에 제주도가 1대 1로 추가 지원해주는 문화예술분야 사회공헌기금 조성사업입니다.
