2. Jeju Medical Center ‘negligent’ in operating mobile clinic
Inspectors uncovered 12 violations in 18-month period

KCTV Jeju has reported on Jeju Medical Center’s negligence in operating its mobile clinic, and now the Jeju Audit and Inspection Commission has come to the same conclusion.

The commission uncovered 12 violations in an investigation of center operations between June 2015 and November of last year.

Investigators determined that the center failed to provide quality healthcare services through its mobile clinic vehicle because it did not offer ultrasounds, electrocardiograms, or cerebrovascular examinations. The center defended its failure to offer those services by saying they are not included on the official list of required tests for physical examinations.

Inspectors also say the center promoted employees without first convening a personnel committee to discuss the promotions, as is required.

KCTV 제주방송이 지적했던 제주의료원의 이동진료차량 운영 소홀 문제가 제주도감사위원회의 감사에서도 지적됐습니다.

제주도감사위원회가 지난 2015년 6월부터 지난해 11월까지 제주의료원 업무 전반에 대한 감사결과 모두 12건의 위반사항을 적발했습니다.

특히 이동진료차량을 운영하면서 초음파와 심전도, 뇌혈관검사기 등 3종의 장비는
건강검진 항목에 포함되지 않았다는 이유로 사용하지 않아 양질의 의료서비스를 제공하지 못했다고 지적했습니다.

이와 함께 소속 직원을 승진시키면서 인사위원회의 심의.의결을 거치지 않았던 것으로 나타났습니다.
