5. Expansion of recycling point system in Seogwipo
Points can be used to purchase trash bags

Seogwipo is expanding a system designed to get more people to recycle.

Beginning next month, people will receive points for depositing cans and plastic bottles at recycling centers. Those points can be used to purchase trash bags.

Can and plastic bottle recycling machines have been installed in four areas: Hamo 3-ri, Daejeong-eup; Pyoseon-ri, Pyoseon-myeon; Donghong-dong; and Jungmun-dong.

This system has been used since last year for glass bottles at Seogwipo Recycling Centers.

캔·페트병 배출 포인트로 쓰레기봉투 교환

캔이나 페트병을 버리면 갯수에 따라 포인트를 적립해 가연성 쓰레기봉투로 바꿔주는 제도가 시행됩니다.

서귀포시는 다음달부터 재활용도움센터에서 캔.페트병 자동수거 보상제를 시범 시행합니다.

자동수거 보상기가 설치되는 곳은 대정읍 하모3리와 표선면 표선리, 동홍동, 중문동 4군데입니다.

서귀포시 재활용도움센터에서는 지난해부터 빈병에 대해서도 이 같은 방식의 수거 보상제가 시행되고 있습니다.
