Researchers say they have concluded that travelers to Jeju visit on average 5.5 places per day while here.

Through its survey of travel patterns, the Jeju Research Institute also determined that tourists spend an average of 119 minutes per day traveling between destinations.

They spend the most time on local travel in August.

Institute representatives say the data they collected should be used to plan transportation infrastructure.

제주연구원이 방문객 통행실태를 조사한 결과 제주에 체류하는 방문객이 하루동안 이동에 소비한 시간은 평균 119분이었습니다.

특히, 관광객들의 하루 통행시간이 가장 긴 달은 8월이었습니다.

제주연구원은 이번 결과를 토대로 제주지역 방문객 통행수요를 파악하고 교통 인프라를 수립하는데 활용할 필요가 있다고 강조했습니다.
