4. Iho-Naedo section of Coast Road complete
Work began in 2012

Work on the Coast Road between Jeju City’s Iho-dong and Naedo-dong is now complete, six years after it begun.

Jeju City says the work on the 1.15-kilometer stretch of road between (현사교) Hyeonsagyo, which is west of Iho Beach, and (외도교) Oedogyo is finished. It began in 2012.

The civil participatory budget was used to add designs and tiles to the seawall along the road, to make it more aesthetically pleasing for pedestrians and Jeju Olle trail walkers.

The construction also improves access to Naedo’s Aljakji Beach, which some say may now become a new hot spot on the Coast Road.

이호~내도 해안도로 6년만에 준공

제주시 이호동과 내도동을 잇는 해안도로가 6년만에 준공됐습니다.

제주시는 지난 2012년 하반기 착공한 이호해수욕장 서쪽 현사교부터 외도교까지 1.15km 구간을 준공했다고 밝혔습니다.

특히 주민참여예산이 별도로 투입돼 파제벽에 디자인과 경관타일 등이 설치되면서
올레꾼과 보행자들에게 볼거리를 제공하게 됩니다.

이와함께 내도 알작지 해변까지 접근도 한결 수월해져 새로운 해안도로 명소로 거듭날 전망입니다.
