2. Hourly living wage going up to \9,700 next year
9% higher than current pay

The living wage on Jeju is going up to two million won per month next year.

The provincial government recently convened its committee on the issue and raised the hourly living wage by nine percent next year from the current 8,900 won to 9,700 won.

That means the monthly living wage will go up 160,000 won to 2.02 million won.

The pool of those who qualify for this level of pay will also be expanded from workers in organizations in which the province has invested to include privatized quasi-public organizations.

내년 제주 생활임금 시급 9천700원 의결

제주지역의 내년 생활임금이 월 200만원대로 확대됩니다.

제주특별자치도는 최근 생활임금위원회를 열어 내년 생활임금 시급을 올해 8천 900원에서 9천 700원으로 9% 가량 올렸습니다.

이렇게 되면 월 급여는 202만원으로 늘어나게 돼 올해보다 월 16만원 가량 인상됩니다.

특히 적용대상을 제주도와 출자출연기관 근로자에서 민간위탁의 준공공부문까지
확대하기로 결정했습니다.
