3. First shipments of outdoor-grown mandarin oranges
Fruit selling for relatively high prices

Farmers have begun shipments of this year’s outdoor-grown mandarin oranges, and they say prices are relatively good for them.

According to the province, the average price is 21,980 won per 10 kilograms. That’s lower than the 24,000 won of last year, but higher than the 16,000 won in 2015 and then 17,000 won in 2016.

In other good news for growers, this year’s fruit has a relatively high sugar content and relatively low acidity. There are also comparatively few defects in the mandarins.


올해산 감귤 출하초기 가격대 비교적 양호

올해산 노지감귤이 출하되기 시작한 가운데 출하초기 비교적 좋은 가격에 거래되고 있습니다.

제주특별자치도에 따르면 지난달 27일 첫 출하한 노지감귤은 지금까지 평균가격이 10킬로그램에 2만 1천 980원으로 지난해 2만 4천원대에 비해 다소 떨어지기는 하지만 2016년 1만 7천원대, 2015년 1만 6천원대에 비해 높게 형성되고 있습니다.

올해산 노지감귤은 당도가 높고 산도가 낮을 뿐 아니라 결점과도 비교적 적어
품질이 대체로 양호한 것으로 나타나고 있습니다.
