4. Exports of local kiwis begin
300 tons to be shipped by end of March

In more news from the agricultural sector, farmers have begun exporting local kiwis.

Jeju Agricultural Research and Extension Services says the Halla Gold Agricultural Corporation has shipped six tons of kiwis to Hong Kong and, for the first time ever, Vietnam.

The price is 8,000 won per kilogram, which is on par with last year.

Halla Gold plans to ship 300 tons of kiwis overseas by the end of March. That’s 100 tons more it exported last year.

제주산 키위 해외 수출 시작

제주산 키위가 해외로 수출되고 있습니다.

제주특별자치도농업기술원에 따르면 한라골드 영농조합법인이 최근 홍콩과 베트남에 제주산 키위 6톤을 수출했습니다.

특히 베트남으로의 제주산 키위 수출은 이번이 처음입니다.

수출가격은 1킬로그램에 8천원으로 지난해와 비슷하게 나타나고 있습니다.

한라골드영농조합법인은 내년 3월까지 지난해보다 100톤 증가한 제주산 키위 300톤을 수출할 계획입니다.
