Province offering financial support for workers

Jeju is helping local farms recruit seasonal workers for the mandarin and winter vegetable harvest season.

Applicants and farms that need laborers can submit applications at the Jeju Agriculture Manpower Support Center through this Friday.

For Jeju residents that are hired for the work, the province will pay 20,000 won per day to cover accident insurance and transportation costs. Workers recruited from off the island can get additional financial support for accommodations and flight tickets.

Last year, the province provided this type of aid to some 10,000 workers at 90 farms.

수확철 '국민수확단' 모집…항공·숙박비 지원

제주특별자치도가 감귤과 월동채소 수확철을 맞아 농가에 인력을 지원할 국민수확단을 모집합니다.

접수는 오는 19일까지 제주농업인력지원센터에서 이뤄지며 아울러 인력이 필요한 농가 또한 신청을 받고 있습니다.

제주도민의 경우 상해보험료와 교통비로 하루 2만원이, 도외 인력에 대해서는
숙박비와 항공료가 추가 지원됩니다.

제주도는 지난해 시범사업으로 90농가에 연인원 1만명의 인력을 지원한 바 있습니다.
