4. Animated film based on Seobok myth planned
Jointly produced by China, Japan, and Korea

An animated film will be produced based on the myth of (서복) Seobok, a legendary figure who is said to have set sail from China in search for the plant of eternal youth.

The provincial government has announced plans for the film as part of a specialized regional content discovery project.

It will be produced by China, Japan, and Korea, and the initiative includes a workshop with some of Korea’s top webtoon creators.

In addition to this project, the province plans to work on a variety of cultural content based on local characteristics, with the Jeju Video Industry Promotion Agency acting as a “control tower” for the initiatives.

'서복 신화' 한중일 공동 애니메이션 제작

서복 신화를 소재로 한 애니메이션이 제작됩니다.

제주특별자치도는 지역특화콘텐츠 발굴 사업 일환으로 서복 신화를 소재로 한 애니메이션을 제작한다고 밝혔습니다.

이번 작업에는 한국과 중국, 일본 등 세 나라가 공동제작으로 참여하며 국내 유명 웹툰 작가를 초청해 워크숍도 진행할 예정입니다.

제주도는 이 밖에도 제주영상 문화산업진흥원을 컨트롤타워로 지역 특성과 연계한
다양한 문화콘텐츠 육성사업을 추진할 계획입니다.
