5. Yellowtail Festival begins Thursday
Through Sunday at Moseulpo Port

The 18th Yellowtail Festival is running from Thursday through Sunday at Moseulpo Port in (대정읍) Daejeong-eup.

The first day of the event in honor of the yellowtail fish, a local delicacy popularly enjoyed raw, will feature street games, a ritual to ensure a good catch, an opening ceremony as well as performances by a naval band and some well-known singers.

Visitors will then be able to take part in a number of activities, including the ever-popular barehanded yellowtail fishing event, a fish auction on a boat deck, and demonstrations of how to prepare the fish for eating it raw.

In addition, there will be abundant food, including free samples of raw yellowtail, local specialties, and traditional food stalls.

제18회 최남단방어축제 29일 개막

제18회 최남단방어축제가 오는 29일부터 다음달 2일까지 대정읍 모슬포항 일원에서 열립니다.

행사 첫날인 오는 29일에는 길놀이와 풍어제에 이어 개막식이 진행되며
해군악단과 초청가수 공연이 펼쳐집니다.

특히 행사 기간 방어맨손잡기와 가두리방어낚시, 어시장 선상경매, 다금바리와 대방어 해체쇼 등 다양한 체험프로그램이 마련됩니다.

이와함께 방어회 무료시식과 특산물판매장, 향토음식점 등 다양한 먹거리도 마련됩니다.
