5. Jeju produce found to have low level of pesticides and metals
Research institute examines over 400 varieties

Agricultural products from Jeju have been proven to be safe from pesticide residue and harmful heavy metals.

The Jeju Research Institute of Public Health & Environment has examined 400 different varieties of produce for pesticide residue. The results have shown that all but one showed levels that fall below legal standards.

Of the 230 that were tested for heavy metals, such as lead and cadmium, all were found to be below the acceptable level.

도내 유통 농산물 400 여 종을 대상으로 잔류 농약을 검사한 결과
채소류 1건을 제외하고
모두 허용기준을 밑돌았습니다.

납과 카드뮴 등 중금속 검사를 받은
농산물 230여 종도 모두 허용 기준을 넘지 않았습니다.
