3. Jeju receives 2nd recertification of UNESCO Global Geoparks
147 geographical sites in 41 countries registered

Jeju Island has been recertified as a member of UNESCO-recognized Global Geoparks.

The provincial government recently received an official document and certificate from UNESCO, recertifying the island as one of the UGGp.

The island has successfully renewed its certification for the second time since its first recertification in 2014. Jeju was first made a Global Geoparks Network member in 2010.

There are a total of 147 UNESCO-recognized Global Geoparks in 41 countries.

인정서를 받았다고 밝혔습니다.

지난 2010년 처음으로
세계지질공원으로 인정받은 제주도는
2014년에 이어 두번째 재인증을 받았습니다.

현재 전 세계적으로
지질공원으로 인정된 곳은
41개국에서 147군데에 이르고 있습니다.
