3. Seogwipo City Mayor to prioritize improving local health care services
Municipal office secures \ 18.2B to run regional development projects

Seogwipo City Mayor Yang Yun-kyeong said it is his top priority to create a safe medical environment in Seogwipo City. He also said that he will strive to establish an improved welfare and medical system fort the local residents.

Mayor Yang held a press conference marking his first year in office at Seogwipo City Hall on Wednesday and said he would do his best to strengthen the emergency medical system and normalize operations of Seogwipo Medical Center by 2021.

Yang said that a task force team has been formed since the beginning this year to gather various opinions on local health care. He also said the municipal office have secured 18.2 billion won to launch a pilot run of the regional development project.

He explained that his office recently created 28 social welfare facilities to combat problems of the aging population and low fertility rate.

올 초부터 TF팀을 구성해
다양한 의견을 수렴하고 있으며,
지역발전투자협약 시범사업의 일환으로
예산 182억원을 확보했다고 말했습니다.

이와 함께
고령화·저출산 문제에 대비한
사회복지시설 28곳을 조성하고 있다며
촘촘한 복지공동체 구현에 앞장서겠다고 설명했습니다.
