Healthcare Town Construction project to resume

The Healthcare Town construction project, which has been suspended for more than two years since 2017, will resume soon.

According to the Jeju Free International City Development Center, the project’s developer Greenland Group paid overdue construction payments of 60 billion won to three contractors at the end of August.

Greenland Group said it will resume the unfinished construction projects of the hotel and commercial facilities in the Healthcare Town once it finds funds to finance them.

The Healthcare Town construction project was suspended for more than two years due to the Chinese government’s restrictions on foreign investment.

녹지그룹, 공사대금 완납…헬스케어타운 공사 재개

2년째 중단됐던
제주 헬스케어타운 공사가
조만간 재개됩니다.

제주국제자유도시개발센터에 따르면
사업자인 녹지그룹은
지난 달 30일자로 국내 시공사 3곳에
밀린 공사대금을 전액 상환했습니다.

녹지그룹은
헬스케어타운에 조성될 호텔과 상업시설
잔여 공사를 위한 프로젝트 파이낸싱이 마무되는대로
공사를 재개하겠다고
밝혔습니다.

헬스케어타운 공사는
지난 2017년 8월 중국 정부의 해외투자 제한정책으로
2년 넘게 2단계 공사가 중단된 상태입니다.
