5. Seogwipo City to guard against ASF outbreak
Special quarantine measures to take place in farms

Seogwipo City will implement special quarantine measures to prevent against the recent spread of the African Swine Fever virus in neighboring countries such as North Korea and China.

The Seogwipo Municipal Office plans to operate a 24-hour quarantine surveillance system and conduct disinfection every Wednesdays.

In particular, foreign workers on local farmlands were guided not to receive food from their home countries through any sort of courier service.

Similar restraints apply to local residents as they should not bring in livestock products from countries experiencing an outbreak of the ASF virus. Islanders are also advised to refrain from visiting livestock farms within the five days after the trip.

아프리카돼지열병이 확산됨에 따라
특별방역대책을 추진합니다.

우선 방역대책상황실을 설치해 24시간 대응체계를 유지하고,
매주 수요일을 일제 소독의날로 운영하는 등
소독을 강화합니다.

특히 농장 내에 외국인 근로자가 있을 경우
고향으로부터 택배를 통해 음식물을 받지 못하도록
지도해줄 것을 부탁했습니다.

일반 시민도 아프리카돼지열병 발생국을 여행한 뒤
귀국할 때 축산물을 반입해서는 안 되며
여행 후에는 5일 이상 축산농가 방문을 자제해야 합니다.
