Grocery prices fall sharply

Local consumer prices are holding steady.

According to the Honam Regional Statistics Office, local consumer prices were up 0.2 percent this August, compared to the same period last year.

Groceries such as spinach and pork fell sharply last month. Similarly, prices of industrial products such as gasoline were also lower than last year.

Officials say the price growth rate in Jeju continues to be around zero this year.

시금치와 돼지고기 등 농축수산물 가격이 크게 하락했고,
휘발유 등 공업제품 가격도
지난해보다 낮았던 것으로 집계됐습니다.

통계청에 따르면
올들어 제주지역의 물가 상승률은 계속해서 0%대를 보이고 있습니다.
