2. Bereaved families demand passage of revised 4.3 Special Law
Elderly victims are running out of time

The bereaved families of the April 3rd Incident issued a statement, calling for the swift passage of the revision bill for the April 3rd Incident Special Law.

They stressed that the passage of the bill will resolve issues surrounding the tragic event and lead to the development of democracy and national reconciliation.

They said the bill must be passed as soon as possbile as the elderly victims who have endured a life of torment and sorrow do not have much time left.

4.3 특별법 개정안의 조속한 처리를 촉구했습니다.

특별법 개정안의 처리로
4.3 해결의 새로운 교두보를 마련하게 될 것이며
궁극적으로
민주발전과 국민화합에 다다를 수 있는 지름길이라고 강조했습니다.

특히 피맺힌 한을 가슴에 쌓으며
인고의 삶을 버텨온 어르신들이
이제 고령의 나이로 더 이상 지체할 수 없다며
그 분들의 응어리 져 있는 한을
조금이라도 풀어드리는게
우리 모두의 당연한 책무라고 주장했습니다.
