3. Province to give administrative support for 4.3 convicts
253 convicts appeal for acquittal

The province is expanding its administrative support for convicts of the April 3rd Incident appealing for acquittal.

The local government has provided requested information for 253 appeal cases filed by the victims’ spouses, relatives and siblings.

Victims and families appealing for acquittal will be given priority for counseling and document issuances regarding the appeal.

Meanwhile, the committee of bereaved families of missing April 3rd Incident victims have filed appeals for 10 missing victims. It will also proceed with another retrial this month with additional applicants.

4.3 수형인 재심 청구를 위한 행정 지원을 확대합니다.

이에 따라
현재까지 수형인 희생자의 배우자와 직계비속, 형제자매 등
재심청구자 253명에 대한 청구 자료를 제공했습니다.

앞으로 재심 청구와 관련된 민원 상담을 비롯해
읍면동에서도 각종 증명서가 우선 발급될 수 있도록
협조할 계획입니다.

한편 행방불명인유족협의회는
지난 6월 4.3 유족 10명의 1차 재심 청구를 신청했고,
이달 중
추가 재심 청구인을 정해
2차 재심을 진행할 예정입니다.
