1. 129,000 households apply for Jeju's emergency support funds
Applications closed on May 22nd

The first round of Jeju Province’s emergency support funding applications wrapped up on May 22nd. Data shows approximately 129,000 households applied for funding.

Jeju Province began accepting emergency support funding applications from the 20th of April, and a total of 129,000 households applied and 40.1 billion won have been paid. Applications from the remaining 5,400 households are being reviewed.

Initially, Jeju Island expected to spend 55 billion won on 200,000 households, but the estimated amount was far off as only 65% of expected applicants applied.

Jeju Island explained that the first round of applications has been closed, but any objection will be open until the 29th of May.

제주형 1차 재난 지원금 신청이 22일 마감된 가운데
대략 12만 6천가구가 접수된 것으로 나타나고 있습니다.

제주특별자치도가
지난달 20일부터 재난지원금 접수를 시작한 이래
12만 6천가구가 신청했고
액수로는 420억원에 이른다고 밝혔습니다.

당초 제주도는
20만 가구에
550억원이 지출된 것으로 예상했지만
가구수만 놓고 봤을 때 60%에 지나지 않아 크게 빗나갔습니다.

제주도는
1차분 신청이 마감됐지만
이의신청은 오는 29일까지 운영한다고 설명했습니다.
