1. Jeju's 20th COVID19 confirmed patient came into contact with 28 people
28 passengers from the same aircraft under self-quarantine

A total of 28 people have been confirmed to have made contact with Jeju's 20th confirmed COVID-19 patient from Kazakhstan.

The 28 people were passengers who sat three rows in front and behind the confirmed patient on the aircraft that flew from Gimpo to Jeju Island on the afternoon of the 3rd.

After arriving in Jeju, samples were collected from the airport's walk-through screening center and the patient was transported to the designated accommodation using a quarantine vehicle; hence, no additional contacts were confirmed.

Jeju Island explained that driver who transported confirmed patients wear hazmat suits, masks, and sanitary gloves, and consequently, is not classified as secondary contact of the patient because the driver did not interact with the patient.

According to the statement and on-site CCTV clips, the confirmed person wore a mask at all times and is currently in good health without any related symptoms.

방역차량을 이용해
지정된 숙소로 이동했기 때문에
추가 접촉자는 없는 것으로 결론지었습니다.

확진자를 수송하는 운전기사의 경우
방역복과 마스크, 위생장갑을 착용했으며
별다른 접촉이 없었던 만큼
접촉자로 분류하지 않았다고 제주도는 설명하고 있습니다.

또 본인의 진술과 현장 CCTV를 조사한 결과
확진자는
입도 후 숙소에 도착할 때까지 줄곧 마스크를 착용했으며
현재까지
관련 증상없이 비교적 건강한 것으로 알려지고 있습니다.
