All residents of Jeju Island eligible for free flu vaccinations
Vaccinations will be available starting October 13

Free flu vaccinations for all residents of Jeju Island will begin on the 13th of next month.

Not only will children aged 6 months to 18 years old, along with pregnant women and those aged 62 or older receive the benefits, but the province will provide free vaccinations for all provincial residents

For this purpose, vaccinations are being secured and distributed sequentially to consigned medical institutions.

The project is being carried out ahead of the winter flu season to help spare time and money in differentiating influenza and COVID-19, as the symptoms are very similar.

3. 일반 도민 독감 무료 예방접종 내달 13일부터

일반 도민을 대상으로 한
인플루엔자 무료 예방접종이 다음달 13일부터 시작됩니다.

제주도는
현재 진행되고 있는 국가 지원대상인
생후 6개월에서 18살 이하의 어린이와 임신부,
만 62살 이상 어르신 외에
일반 도민을 대상으로 무료 예방접종을 시행합니다.

이를 위해
예방접종 백신을 확보해
위탁 의료기관 등에 순차적으로 보급하고 있습니다.

이번 사업은
올 겨울 동시에 유행할 것으로 예상되는
독감인 인플루엔자와 코로나19의 증세가 비슷해
환자 구분에 많은 비용과 시간이 소요돼 혼선을 부를 수 있는 만큼
현재 예방할 수 있는
인플루엔자를 사전에 차단하기 위해 추진되고 있습니다.
