Crackdowns at Iho Beach
More than 80 quarantine violations reported

More than 80 quarantine rule violations were reported on the first day of crackdown at Iho Beach where eating and drinking are prohibited to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Jeju City officials cracked down on quarantine rule violations with Jeju Municipal Police at Iho Beach after the administrative order was issued on the 26th at 10 p.m. .

As a result, a total of 89 violations were caught, including 38 cases of drinking alcohol and eating foods and 30 cases of not wearing masks.

Jeju City office has set this week as a grace period, thus violators will be warned when caught for the first time. However, fines will be imposed, if they do not follow guidelines.

코로나19 확산 방지를 위해 이호해수욕장 백사장에서의 음주와 취식 행위가 금지된 가운데 단속 첫날부터 위반행위가 무더기로 적발됐습니다.

제주시는 26일 밤 10시부터 시행된
행정명령에 따라 이호해수욕장에서 자치경찰 등과 함께
음주와 취식 행위 등 방역 위반 사항을 단속했습니다.

27일 새벽까지 이어진 단속 결과 음주와 취식 행위 38건을 비롯해 마스크 미착용 30건, 집합제한 위반 6건 등 모두 89건이 적발됐습니다.

제주시는 이번주까지를 계도기간으로 정해
한 번 적발됐을 때는 경고 조치하고 이에 불응할 경우 과태료를 부과할 방침입니다.
