221 fraudsters arrested in the first half of the year
21 scammers imprisoned

In the province, scammers involved in voice phishing and insurance fraud were caught by the police.

The Jeju Police Agency announced that as a result of a special crackdown on fraudulent crimes for five months from February to June, 221 people were arrested out of 430 cases, and 21 were imprisoned.

In particular, a specialized detective team was assigned to face-to-face voice phishing and arrested 90 voice phishing criminals and put 15 people behind bars.

The police plan to extend the special crackdown period on fraudulent crimes until October.

사기범죄 특별단속 벌인 결과
430여 건에 221명을 검거하고
이 가운데 21명을 구속했다고 밝혔습니다.

특히 대면편취형 보이스피싱에 형사팀을 투입해
보이스피싱범 90명을 검거하고
15명을 구속하기도 했습니다.

경찰은 오는 10월까지
사기범죄 특별단속 기간을 연장해 운영할 계획입니다.
